Official responds to Guiyang property buyers' concerns

Housing transfer delays, incomplete supporting facilities, illegal promotion, and other related issues are of greatest concern to Guiyang's property buyers. Tong Xin, director of the real estate market regulation department of the Guiyang bureau of housing and urban-rural development, recently made detailed analyses of these typical issues to help consumers safeguard their rights.

For example, as far as housing transfer delays are concerned, since 2020, along with China's stricter regulation and control of the real estate market, some property developers have spared no effort to raise their sales, but failed to fulfill their promises to consumers.

"The measures property developers need to take for the delayed housing transfers are written in the house purchase contract. Consumers are entitled to ask for compensations or for a full refund if they still cannot receive their house within a given period of time," said Tong.
