After nearly 10 months of construction, the Xiaoguan Smart Parking Lot in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province, officially began operating on July 8.
With a total construction area of around 3,000 square meters, the parking lot contains a mechanical parking garage, a logistics service room, a parking lot service and management room, a taxi area, and an open grid garage.
According to the construction team, the most complex part was the open grid garbage, which includes a giant steel grid structure that consumes about 353 metric tons of steel and occupies a total area of 4,682.16 sq m.
There are in total 264 parking spaces in the parking lot. In addition, entertainment facilities, such as public squares and sports fields are also made in place.
