The city of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently made moves to improve the management of its public rental housing stock.
To do so, the Guiyang Housing Security Center last month held a special public rental housing policy promotion event for 29 public rental housing projects in the city.
The event focused on public rental housing application conditions, submissions of materials, rental subsidy management and the handling of regulation violations.
The aim was to help public rental housing tenants understand the relevant policies covering public rental housing, as well as their obligations and rights.
Through the promotion, the awareness of tenants was reportedly raised, so they can in future better comply with the public rental housing system. In addition, the operational levels of community managers was further improved.
The event was seen as an important measure for Guiyang to improve the management and services for its public rental housing. It is expected to help give tenants more of a sense of making positive contributions to the community, while boosting their overall happiness and security.
