The second phase of the major project for the Guiyang Rail Transit Line 2 -- in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently passed its completion acceptance.
The project is being jointly funded by Guiyang Urban Rail Transit Group Co, Shanghai Baoye Group Corp, Yejian Investment Fund Management (Beijing) Co and Minmetals International Trust Co.
The 12-kilometer rail transit line has six underground stations and two elevated stations.
During the project's construction, which began in February 2017, the project has adopted 47 new technologies related to rail transit, 19 technologies for new materials and six related to information technology.
It is the only line connecting Guiyang's metro lines to the main urban area and to Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport.
After it is completed and opened to traffic, the airport area will be further integrated into the central urban area relying on subway transportation and residents will travel faster and more efficiently.
