Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently completed the installation of prefabricated anti-collision walls for the first time during municipal road construction.

These prefabricated anti-collision wall components were set up for a viaduct project on the extension section of Binyang Avenue.

Only one vehicle and two workers are needed to complete the hoisting and positioning of a single prefabricated anti-collision wall – which weighs 5 metric tons. The prefab walls eliminate the construction and dismantling of the traditional cast-in-place anti-collision wall construction platform and reduce the risk of working at height.

Compared with traditional cast-in-place anti-collision walls, the processing accuracy and appearance quality of prefabricated anti-collision walls are significantly improved.

Prefab anti-collision walls improve construction efficiency and shorten the construction period to one day from the previous three days. Now that the roadside walls have been installed, surrounding areas will be spared from excessive dust and noise coming from the construction site.
