With sunny days finally here, why not go on a spring date? In Guiyang, take an April color walk – a trendy urban stroll that uncovers a city's beauty through vibrant colors – and enjoy the ephemeral spring palette.

Pink

Zhucheng Square

In April, Zhucheng Square bursts into a colorful sea of late-spring blooms, turning the "city living room" into a floral wonderland.

Riverside of Nanming River around Jiaxiu Pavilion

In April, the late-spring flowers and ancient architecture create a poetic scene along the Nanming River around Jiaxiu Pavilion. Walk from Jiaxiu Square to Jiaxiu Pavilion, where you'll see soft pink late cherry blossoms blooming all along the river.

Chengxin South Road

Every spring, over 1,000 cherry blossom trees line both sides of Chengxin South Road, creating a miles-long pink "cherry blossom avenue" – one of Guiyang's most famous romantic landmarks and a top spot for social media photos.

Red

Guizhou Botanical Garden

In April, pink magnolias, camellias, azaleas, wisteria, irises, and more bloom in a peaceful, elegant setting in the garden – perfect for learning about nature, admiring flowers, and taking photos.

Dujuanhua Valley in Ahahu Park

From late March to mid-May, the mountainside in the valley is covered in blooms – red, pink, white, purple, and yellow azaleas. April is the peak season, when the flowers, green water, forest, and arched bridges form a stunning terraced mountain flower landscape.

Yangchang Huahua Town

The town is in bloom from March to November. In spring, 500,000 tulips burst to life. April brings corn poppies, lupines, and hydrangeas, along with terraced flower fields and romantic flower borders. With youth culture exhibits, flower arranging experiences, and family-friendly activities, it's a great suburban destination for flower viewing and family outings.

Purple

Huaxi Park

From late March to mid-April, the park's wisteria corridor near the music square reaches peak bloom, forming a 100-meter-long purple waterfall. Walking on the bluestone path under the purple curtain is an unmissable romantic spring experience.

Tashan Park in Baiyuan district

Wisteria and azaleas in the park are now in full bloom, with late cherry blossoms adding splashes of color – a perfect time for a spring walk.

Shibiao Road in Guanshanhu district

In early April, over 170 Chinese redbud trees are in peak bloom, their purple-red flowers covering the branches for hundreds of meters. This romantic purple flower corridor is currently one of Guiyang's hottest spring photo spots.

Blue

Hongfeng Lake

In spring, Hongfeng Lake is packed with trending photo spots: the S-curve lakeside road in Shanshu village offers an incredible atmosphere; You'er village's colorful houses and late cherry blossoms are fresh and healing; the tea garden in Ludishao village combines tea fields with lake views. A lakeside drive rewards you with stunning scenery at every turn.

Baihua Lake

In spring, Baihua Lake offers serene and tranquil scenery. Its 108 islands are scattered in perfect harmony, and a boat ride across the water feels like stepping into a living ink-wash painting. At Shenque Tea Plantation, rolling tea fields stretch for miles, and visitors can climb to a higher spot for breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. In Shangmaicheng village, flowers are in full bloom – perfect for a lakeside stroll, camping, or a relaxing picnic.

Ahahu National Wetland Park

The park features reservoirs, rivers, and marsh wetlands, with a forest coverage rate of over 83 percent. With flowers in every season and beauty around every corner, this is a free urban park where locals can walk, enjoy flowers, watch birds, and connect with nature.

Green

Guiyang Forest Park

With a forest coverage rate of over 90 percent, Guiyang Forest Park is home to towering ancient trees and lush, thriving vegetation. Shady groves, quiet footpaths, and well-preserved historical sites are scattered throughout the park, offering a perfect blend of natural wilderness and cultural heritage amid a sea of rich greenery.

Qianlingshan Park

A national 4A-level scenic area in central Guiyang, Qianlingshan Park has a forest coverage rate of 88 percent. Ancient trees, green mountains, peaceful lakes, and playful macaques make it a favorite spot for daily hikes and time in nature.

Guanshanhu Park

Guanshanhu Park is an open green heaven in the heart of the city. Towering London plane trees and camphor trees line the lake, creating shady canopies along the paths. The wetlands are rich with reeds and aquatic plants, while the clear lake water mirrors the surrounding greenery. Vibrant and fresh year-round, the park feels open, airy, and delightfully bright.
