Xiuwen county advances educational development

Xiuwen county deepened the comprehensive reform of education during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25) and consolidated high-quality educational development.

Over the last five years, Xiuwen's general public budget expenditure on education was 628 million yuan ($90.02 million), 632 million yuan, 643 million yuan, 647 million yuan, and 648 million yuan, respectively, realizing the goal of increasing education expenditure year over year. The county established one provincial model kindergarten, six municipal model kindergartens, and 23 county-level model kindergartens. It also built nine quality schools, eight experimental schools, and seven cultivation schools under the "Strengthening Public Schools" project.

Xiuwen is expected to invest a total of 5.7 billion yuan in education projects during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30), continue to optimize the allocation of county educational resources, and strengthen infrastructure construction.

"We will build a team of highly qualified professional teachers, focus on improving the quality of education and teaching, and make comprehensive plans for the development of high-quality education to better meet people's needs," said Yao Xingping, deputy director of the Xiuwen county education bureau.
