During the 2024 Spring Festival holiday, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, welcomed 496,017 visits and generated a tourism revenue of 280 million yuan ($38.96 million), representing a year-on-year growth of 69.2 percent and 85.53 percent, respectively.

To meet the needs of visitors during the holiday, major scenic spots in Xiuwen launched a variety of Chinese New Year cultural activities, which were all warmly received.
China Yangming Cultural Park organized a Chinese New Year temple fair; the Taoyuan River Scenic Area hosted a series of cultural activities, including dragon gate check-ins and interactive Chinese New Year games; the Qiangui Liuguang Hot Springs featured activities such as making glutinous rice cakes, lantern riddle guessing games, and festive music; and Liutong town held a basketball match for visiting friends and relatives.

Guizhou Wildlife Park similarly saw an increase in foot traffic, receiving 5,000 daily visitors during the holiday. Parents and children enjoyed closely interacting with animals and watching animal performances.
