Xiuwen's New Year garden party lures in visitors

A Chinese New Year garden party and temple fair kicked off at the China Yangming Culture Park in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 10, the first day of the Lunar New Year.

The event offered a diverse range of activities that cater to the needs of visitors of all ages, including cultural performances, lantern riddle guessing games, knowledge quizzes, as well as food stalls and amusement facilities.

"Xiuwen has been hosting such events for the last couple of years. Bringing my child here to play allows us to watch performances, guess lantern riddles, and learn about Yangming culture. It's very meaningful," said a local resident.

The event, which runs until Feb 26 or the 17th day of the Lunar New Year, aims to create a festive and joyful atmosphere for both locals and visitors.
