Xiuwen's Spring Festival gala showcases local culture

A Spring Festival gala was staged at China Yangming Cultural Park in Xiuwen county of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 4.

Outside the venue, a calligraphy and painting exhibition themed on Chinese philosopher Wang Yangming (1472-1529) was displayed before the start of the gala.

The gala kicked off with a joyous dragon and lion dance performance. The lively and uplifting melodies, along with the dynamic dragon and lion dances, immediately created a festive atmosphere.

Throughout the gala, a variety of programs, including singing, dancing, cross talk, themed shows, acrobatics, and magic acts, were presented.

The gala also featured an online lucky draw, with over 170 online viewers winning prizes, such as Ambrosial Xiuwen kiwi fruit yogurt, Xijiu liquor, Zhazuo hoof, and 4A-level scenic spot tour tickets in Xiuwen.
