Xiuwen's industrial output set to exceed 30b yuan in 2023

In 2023, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, achieved a breakthrough in its industrial development goals, with total industrial output expected to surpass 30 billion yuan ($4.19 billion) this year.

Industrial investment is projected to exceed 2.7 billion yuan, while the added value of the county's industries above a designated size is set to grow by over 14 percent.

Throughout the year, Xiuwen propelled the rapid construction of industrial projects, such as a pumped storage power station, the fourth phase of Guizhou Tyre Co, and the third phase of Guizhou Guijiu Co.

In 2023, several projects were put into operation, including the Gubao Agricultural Photovoltaic Power Station.

Efforts were also made to facilitate the transformation of individual businesses into corporations, the expansion of small-scale enterprises, and the growth of high-tech companies, all while fully nurturing the growth, strength, and excellence of these enterprises.

In addition, the county applied for 15 innovative enterprises, established nine professional, refined, specialized and innovative enterprises, set up two provincial-level enterprise technology centers, initiated one provincial-level technology innovation enterprise, and established five green factories.

Meanwhile, the county cultivated its advanced equipment manufacturing industry and promoted the high-quality development of the ecological specialty food industry. The two industries in the county are estimated to have achieved a total industrial output value of over 13.88 billion yuan for the year.
