Xiuwen makes efforts to promote new-type industrialization

In 2023, Xiuwen county in Guiyang followed the provincial and municipal requirements for the development of new-type industrialization, leading to fruitful results.

The county achieved an industrial added value of 3.88 billion yuan ($542.95 million) last year, a year-on-year growth of 12.2 percent.

Eleven industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with annual output of 20 million yuan or more – were added in the county.

What's more, 193 new 5G base stations were built, bringing the total number of 5G base stations in the county to 1,007, and all industrial parks in Xiuwen are now covered by 5G.

Xiuwen also established corporate and project service teams to coordinate and resolve problems encountered by enterprises related to water, electricity, gas, telecommunications, and land, and built a government-bank-corporate matchmaking platform to help enterprises obtain financing.

Xiuwen has also focused on the cultivation of small and medium-sized enterprises, with 15 companies certified as innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, nine companies certified as professional, refined, specialized and innovative enterprises, and 7 companies certified as municipal enterprise technology centers.

As of now, about 45 percent of the county's digital transformation has been completed, with the rest expected to be completed in 2024.
