4 companies in Xiuwen selected as Guizhou green factories

The 2023 green manufacturing list of Guizhou province was recently released, which included four companies in Xiuwen county in Guiyang, the provincial capital. Guizhou Green Sun Pharmaceutical Co was among them.

Established in October 1997, Guizhou Green Sun Pharmaceutical Co became the first pharmaceutical company to set up operations in Xiuwen. It has since developed into a pharmaceutical enterprise integrating R&D, production and sales of patent medicines.

In 2023, its output value is expected to exceed 300 million yuan ($42.06 million), with profits and taxes of about 50 million yuan.

In response to the national strategy of green manufacturing, the company has carried out a two-year campaign, focusing on production safety, occupational health, energy conservation and emission reduction.

As a result, the company's energy consumption has been reduced by nearly 30 percent, while progress has also been made in cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
