In recent years, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has given priority to urban landscaping and ecological construction, achieving positive results in green development.

So far, the green space rate in Xiuwen's urban area has reached 35.37 percent, and the per capita park green space has reached 14.26 square meters.
Roads lined with osmanthus trees, magnolia trees, cherry blossom trees, cedar trees and other garden plants have been built one after another.
There are currently 60 primary and secondary roads in the county, with 132 kinds of native trees commonly used for greening work. Tree-lined parking lots in the county have also risen to 8.51 percent.
In terms of creating urban green spaces, the county has built cultural and leisure spaces that are equipped with viewing platforms, supporting public toilets, and cultural squares.
Today, Xiuwen has gradually formed an urban ecological environment that is surrounded by mountains and rivers. Its good ecological environment is becoming an important factor that contributes to Xiuwen's high-quality development.
