Seven village clinics were recently completed in Xiuwen county of Guiyang, bringing the total number in the county to 152 and achieving full coverage of all 125 administrative villages and communities.

The construction of these seven village clinics started in May and has now been mostly completed, with their operations implemented on a staggered basis.

The newly completed Qingjiang village clinic covers an area of 138 square meters and is equipped with diagnosis rooms, observation rooms, public health rooms, a pharmacy, and restrooms, improving its functional space and management system.

In the wake of renovation and expansion work, the Xiaoba village clinic has increased from 60 sq m to 90 sq m. It is now equipped with facilities such as a medication cooling cabinet and treatment beds. Previously, the clinic would receive around 200 patients a month, but this number has since doubled.

Moving forward, Xiuwen will continue to enhance the capabilities of village doctors and other grassroots healthcare workers, to effectively address the urgent health concerns and difficulties faced by the public, providing them with a greater sense of security and well-being.
