Xiuwen kiwi fruit makes its way to Dubai, surrounding countries

Guizhou Shengdi Organic Agriculture Co and HK Mingxing Food Limited, a Dubai buyer, signed a contract at the 20th China International Agricultural Trade Fair held in Qingdao, Shandong province, on Nov 9.

This means that kiwi fruit from Xiuwen county in Guiyang, Guizhou province, will be exported to Dubai and surrounding countries through HK Mingxing Food Limited.

Xiuwen county began to develop its kiwi fruit industry in the late 1980s. Today, the kiwi fruit industry in Xiuwen is booming and helping bring in additional income for farmers.

According to estimates, the brand value of Xiuwen kiwi fruit is evaluated at 3.08 billion yuan ($423.21 million) in 2023, making it one of the top 10 regional public agricultural product brands in the province.

The Xiuwen kiwi fruit has juicy flesh, an emerald-like appearance, and a large and slender shape. It is of high quality and has high nutritional value.

"This signing can help Xiuwen kiwi fruit go global. It is an opportunity to help Guizhou goods open up foreign sales channels. We will strictly maintain product quality and help Guizhou kiwi fruit spread to foreign markets," said Lu Yangchun, general manager of Guizhou Shengdi Organic Agriculture Co.
