The First Yangming Culture Martial Arts Competition concluded in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Oct 5, after two days of intense competition. The event also featured an award ceremony.

The competition included 118 events in seven categories, and more than 500 athletes from across the country participated, using Yangming culture as a framework to showcase their martial arts skills.
Winners were awarded in various categories and special awards were given out for sportsmanship, outstanding coaching, exemplary martial arts schools, martial arts promotion, and martial arts contributions. The awards were presented on-site during the ceremony.
In addition to traditional martial arts competitions, a special session dedicated to Wing Chun was added to the event. Li Hengchang, president of the Chinese Wing Chun Association, served as the chief referee for the Wing Chun competition and presented appointment letters to the judging panel.
This traditional martial arts competition not only offered people a spectacular martial arts feast, but also enhanced the public's understanding and passion for traditional martial arts.
