During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday on June 22-24, rural tourism once again swept through Damu village in Liutun town of Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. A continuous stream of tourists came to experience the local red culture, which pays tribute to China's revolutionary past, and enjoy the rural scenery.

On the day of the Dragon Boat Festival alone, Damu village received more than 12,000 visits from across the country.

As a traditional Bouyei village, it offers simple folk customs and unique red cultural resources, as well as ancient ginkgo trees, Jinye Lake, and the Erdong Tiansheng Bridge.

During this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, flowers such as zinnia, hollyhock, and Chinese roses were in full blossom.

Locals launched a range of activities during the holiday, such as light shows, zongzi-making experience, hanfu tours, and bonfire parties, attracting many visitors.

Meanwhile, more than 1,500 kilograms of freshly picked wine cap mushrooms (Stropharia rugosoannulata) were sold by villagers.
