Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was included on the list of national key counties for leisure agriculture in 2022, which was recently released by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
In recent years, Xiuwen has accelerated the development of four mountainous characteristic industries – fruits, vegetables, livestock and medicine. There are 335,700 mu (22,380 hectares) of fruit trees being planted in the county, including 167,000 mu of kiwi fruit trees.

The county has built 190,000 mu of vegetable bases and has an annual vegetable output of more than 556,000 metric tons.
Relying on its clear waters, green mountains, rural scenery and local culture, Xiuwen offers agricultural tourism, experience and education.
It has also promoted the integration of villages and scenic spots through the annual kiwi fruit festival and the rural tourism industry development conference.
In addition, the county has vigorously developed its leisure agriculture and rural tourism industries, built a national agricultural tourism demonstration base in Zhexi village, Gubao town, and built 88 boutique inns and leisure summer resorts.
