A recently-built low-carbon pilot park in Tianshengqiao village of Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been put into operation.
Tianshengqiao village is a well-known cultural scenic spot in Xiuwen county, with unique natural scenery and an abundance of mountains, forests, springs, lakes, caves and stones.

In order to promote a low-carbon lifestyle while implementing the development philosophy of "lush mountains and lucid waters are invaluable assets", the Guiyang municipal bureau of ecology and environment used a provincial special fund of 9.79 million yuan ($1.45 million) to build the province's first low-carbon pilot park in the village.
During construction, more than 700 meters of elevated walkways were renovated, 340 meters of guardrails and one sightseeing pavilion were built, two pavilions were repaired, and 35 solar lamps and a number of bulletin boards to promote awareness of a low-carbon lifestyle were installed.

Work on the park started in early September 2021 and was completed at the end of November 2021.
Relying on the park, the village will vigorously promote the environmental governance and tourism service facilities, develop rural tourism, promote the integration of culture and tourism, and boost rural vitalization.
