The wetland park is composed of Yanying Lake (Yanyingshan Reservoir), the first mountain on the north face of the lake, and the canyon in the southwest, across Xiaoqing township and Jiuchang township.
The wetland park, which has a total area of 483.7 hectares, mainly includes reservoirs, permanent and seasonal rivers, karst cave wetlands, herbaceous swamps and other wetland types.
It is a unique wetland ecosystem of karst rivers and ponds in Southwest China's karst landform region. It is also the source of drinking water and farmland irrigation water in Xiuwen county.
