The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) science and education industrial park in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has introduced projects related to health and education, to promote the development of the industries.
The industrial park, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan ($702.01 million) and a total land area of 2,200 mu (146.67 hectares), is being constructed in two phases.
It includes projects such as Shizhen College of Guizhou University of TCM, Affiliated Hospital of Shizhen College of Guizhou University of TCM, Medical Big Data Vocational Education Industrial Park, commercial housing and commercial facilities.
Shizhen College of Guizhou University of TCM is the first undergraduate university in Xiuwen. It offers degree programs in various categories of TCM and focuses on cultivating professionals and leading talent in Chinese medicinal materials and medical treatment.
The college's new campus was put into use in September 2021.
Near the college, the affiliated hospital will be built to the standards of tertiary hospitals, which is expected to greatly improve the level of medical care and comprehensive health services in Xiuwen.
After completion, the industrial park is expected to greatly improve the educational and medical conditions in Xiuwen, improve supporting medical functions, expand the talent pool, and increase the region's influence.
