11 projects break ground in Xiuwen

Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a groundbreaking ceremony for 11 projects with a total investment of 3.69 billion yuan ($521.36 million) on Nov 14.

The 11 projects are related to new-type urbanization, new-type industrialization, agricultural modernization and people's livelihoods.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held at the construction site of Shenzhen International Guiyang Xiuwen Comprehensive Logistics Port.

The project will focus on building a logistics infrastructure platform and an industrial chain service platform, as well as provide industrial support for Guizhou as it integrates into the Belt and Road Initiative, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and other major national development strategies.

The project has a total investment of 800 million yuan and is expected to create 2,000 jobs.

On the day, Xiuwen county officials also visited the Guizhou Tyre Co's relocation project, which has an annual output of 3 million sets of all-steel radial tires, as well as the Guizhou Yonghui Supply Chain Industrial Park.

Guizhou Tyre Co's relocation project has been completed and put into operation, and is estimated to achieve an annual industrial output value of 3.2 billion yuan and a tax revenue of 150 million yuan.

With a total investment of 350 million yuan, the Guizhou Yonghui Supply Chain Industrial Park project will focus on becoming a logistics park integrating commodities, agricultural product processing, commodity procurement, cold chain storage, and cold chain distribution.

The normal temperature center and fixed temperature center of the project were put into trial operation in August 2022. After the project is fully completed, it is expected to have an output of more than 5 billion yuan and employ 500 people.
