In recent years, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has achieved remarkable results in new-type industrialization.
Xiuwen Industrial Park has introduced more than 150 projects in the past decade, forming 10 characteristic industries related to advanced equipment manufacturing, eco-friendly food, and medicine.
In 2021, the county's GDP was nearly 20 billion yuan ($2.78 billion), and the comprehensive ranking of Xiuwen Economic Development Zone was at the forefront of the province's 100 development zones.
Shougang Guiyang Special Steel Co was fully relocated to Xiuwen in July 2016. After undergoing a technical transformation, it has gradually transitioned from being a traditional manufacturing company to a high-tech enterprise, and has been included in the list of green factories of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Guizhou Tyre Co in the county has also obtained national green factory certification.
So far, Xiuwen is home to 2,147 industrial market entities, 107 of which are industrial enterprises above a designated size – those with annual output value of 20 million yuan or more.
