Xiuwen guarantees people's living needs

In the face of the current COVID-19 outbreak, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has set up a special team for supply guarantee work, and made every effort to build a supply system for online ordering and offline distribution to meet the needs of residents.

The county has opened two living supply security enterprises and three pharmaceutical sales enterprises in the Zhazuo area, one living material security enterprise and one pharmaceutical sales enterprise in Liutun town to provide daily necessities and medicines required by residents.

The goods purchased by the people in the Zhazuo area online are distributed to the contactless distribution points in the community, and then organized by the community to be sent to buyers.

Since the announcement of the supply guarantee in the Zhazuo area on Sept 10, the number of completed orders has reached 2,028, and the total sales amounted to 162,606.1 yuan ($23,326.03).

The Xiuwen county's bureau of commerce also coordinated 35 volunteers from SF Express and Meituan in the Zhazuo area to provide free delivery services to residents who place online orders.

As of Sept 13, 35 volunteers in the Zhazuo area had helped five key material security and supply companies complete the delivery of more than 2,000 orders, helping more than 10,000 people.
