For many years, Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been seeking to build the county into a place that is modern and great for living and working.
More than 100,000 mu (6,666.67 hectares) of kiwi fruit flowers in the county recently came into full bloom. Kiwi fruit has become a pillar industry of Xiuwen, increasing farmers' incomes and promoting rural vitalization.

Xiuwen has built a large number of education, culture, health, sports and fitness facilities.
The county's first college – Shizhen College of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine – officially opened in October 2021 and now has more than 10,000 students.
In addition, the newly-built Xiuwen Stadium, Xiuwen County Maternal and Child Health Hospital, Xiuwen No 5 Experimental Primary School, and Xiuwen County No 6 Experimental Primary School have solved problems related to seeking doctors and boosting school enrollment.

The renovation of old communities has been included in the county's key urban projects for many years, mainly focusing on water, electricity, gas, roof leaks, corridors, and firefighting facilities, as well as main building repairs, and the surrounding rain and sewage pipe network, and public lighting.
In addition, since this year, Xiuwen has given priority to dressing up the county and enhancing the beauty of the environment, making it evergreen and enhancing the people's sense of happiness, gain and satisfaction.
