Xiuwen county aims high in 2021-25

As an important area in the northern part of Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province, Xiuwen county is aiming to promote its industrial development, urban upgrading, rural revitalization and the integration of culture and tourism during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) period.

Plans are for the county to foster the prefabricated buildings sector – integrating research, design, production and sales – as well as to promote the high-quality development of its advanced equipment manufacturing and specialty food industries, and build a park with an output value of 100 billion yuan ($15.14 billion).

In terms of urban planning, Xiuwen county plans to improve its basic public services such as commercial services, sports and leisure, among other things.

This is expected to attract more people to come and settle there and boost the urban population by about 100,000 within five years.

Elsewhere, the high-quality development of the kiwi fruit, pig and vegetable industries in the county is expected to be advanced.

Meanwhile, the county will continue to expand the Yangming culture to develop more teaching, training, festivals, cultural and creative activities, and tourism products, and promote its tourism brand.
