The second phase of Moutai-flavor white liquor production from Guizhou Guijiu Group Co – located in Xiuwen county, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently ramped up to full operation.
With a total investment of 420 million yuan ($64.09 million), phase II covers an area of 100 mu (6.67 hectares). It consists of five brewing workshops, two pottery warehouses and an R&D center.

The project has been completed and went into production in early November 2021. So far, the roads in the factory have been completed and the brewing workshop is producing white liquor at full capacity.
In 2021, Guizhou Guijiu Group Co reported an output value of 360 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 163 percent and taxed revenue of 73.56 million yuan, up a mighty 123 percent, as well as a total operating income of 350 million yuan.
With the second-phase project now in full operation, the company's overall annual output capacity is expected to exceed 6,800 metric tons.
This is projected to meet the market demand of 2 billion yuan in annual sales, create employment for nearly 1,000 people and generate taxed revenue of 300-400 million yuan.
It is expected that this will provide stronger impetus for the economic development of Xiuwen.
