Xiuwen high school gets provincial-level status

After nearly three years of hard work, Xiuwen County No 1 High School is said to have completed all its required tasks to get provincial-level status, with it now classified as a "provincial-level characteristic demonstration ordinary high school".

The school is located in Xiuwen county, administered by Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Xiuwen No 1 High School is a full-boarding public high school, which was developed by Guizhou Yangming Education Group, and is a source school for Tsinghua University.

It is in the first batch of demonstration schools with characteristic projects in Guizhou province, while it is also the only school in the region featuring traditional Chinese culture, which has been promoted through a series of research and seminar activities.

In addition, the school's reforms of education are understood to have made a breakthrough in its educational philosophy and methods and the quality of its education has continued to rise.

In the past three years, the school's undergraduate enrollment rate has exceeded the provincial average by more than 10 percentage points.
