During the December financial reporting period, the taxation bureau of Xiuwen county – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – guided 214 micro, small and medium-sized manufacturers to utilize deferred tax payments to the tune of 22.37 million yuan ($3.51 million).

This reportedly helped the companies alleviate their financial difficulties and operating pressures.

Since the start of the year, the Xiuwen taxation bureau has acted to help resolve taxpayers' difficulties in handling their payments, with the focus on newly registered enterprises, micro, small and medium-sized businesses and key tax-source companies.

"I didn't expect the tax bureau would be so attentive in its services. It proactively reminded us to postpone the payment of taxes for the fourth quarter of 2021," said Wang Hongmei, a financial officer at Guizhou Qifeng Industry and Trade Co.

"In November alone, I applied for a tax deferment approaching 190,000 yuan, which resolved our funds at the end of the year," Wang added.

In addition to helping newly registered enterprises, the Xiuwen taxation bureau reportedly provides taxpayers with tax-related counseling services, through on-site field visits and an interactive online platform for taxpayers and the tax authorities.

"A series of services such as tax declarations guidance, consulting channels and tax preferential policy promotions, made my company aware of the constructive concern of the tax authority from the start," said Ye Xing, finance officer of the newly registered Guizhou Chilianxing Technology Co.

Going forward, plans are for the Xiuwen taxation bureau to create a better business tax environment and to further improve the satisfaction of taxpayers.
