Xiuwen tax bureau gives companies helping hand

The tax bureau of Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has recently carried out publicity and guidance work for local tax policies.

This has helped to alleviate the financial difficulties and operating pressures on businesses, and helped the high-quality development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector.

By Nov 17 this year, the taxation bureau had helped 68 SMEs in the sector by deferring tax payments totaling 7.22 million yuan ($1.14 million).

"We will continue to optimize the tax policies to contribute to the high-quality development of enterprises," said Zhou Changfan, director of the tax bureau.
