Xiuwen village makes list of China's Beautiful Leisure Villages

Damu village in Liutun town, Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, made the list of China's Beautiful Leisure Villages in 2021, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

Damu village has built 13 homestays with more than 1,000 beds, and as of 2020, there have been more than 500 groups of Party members and research teams visiting the province to experience the village's red culture.

In 2020, the village's total tourism revenue exceeded 7.8 million yuan ($121,925.26).

In addition, Damu village has developed industries around kiwi fruit, plums, edible fungi and chicken breeding, and carried out research and agricultural activities to improve the experience for tourists.

The village has also invited teachers from colleges and universities to offer training in catering services and hotel management to improve the quality of local hotel staff members.

Moving forward, Damu village will continue working to enrich its ethnic agricultural experience activities, develop rural tourism, and beautify its living environment to promote rural revitalization.
