12 key projects break ground in Xiuwen

A groundbreaking ceremony for 12 projects receiving a combined 1.16 billion yuan ($241.15 million) in investment in Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was held on Sept 29.

Guan Qingliang, Party secretary of Xiuwen county, attended the groundbreaking ceremony and announced the start of the projects, while Deng Qian, deputy Party secretary and head of Xiuwen county, delivered a speech.

The 12 projects include three involved in the manufacturing industry, one involving urban construction, one involving farming, forestry, husbandry, and fishing, one involving infrastructure, three involving environmental protection, and three involving social undertakings. They have received 284 million yuan, 28 million yuan, 6 million yuan, 29 million yuan, 586 million yuan, and 222 million yuan in investment, respectively.
