Xiuwen county – located in Guiyang, capital of China's Southwest Guizhou province – is aiming to further stimulate its industrial economy.
It reportedly plans to do so by ramping things up even more in its promising Guizhou Xiuwen Industrial Park. In 2009 – to further promote the development the real economy – the county began developing the park, focusing on cultivating new economies and new business formats.
The total planned area of the park is 50 square kilometers, consisting of Longchang Industrial Park, Zhazuo Industrial Park and Jiuchang Industrial Park.
In 2012, the Guizhou Xiuwen Economic Development Zone got the official green light to be established, reportedly becoming a powerful engine for the subsequent development of Xiuwen's industrial economy.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), plans are for the development zone to focus on new-type industrialization. By 2025, it is expected that the total output value of industries above a designated size will reach 50 billion yuan.

Industrial investment there is projected in 2025 to generate 40 billion yuan, while investment funds in place will reach 50 billion yuan.
At present, Xiuwen has formed 10 core industries related to advanced equipment manufacturing, health and medicines, high-quality wine, new building materials, modern industry, ecological specialty foods and clean and efficient materials.
In 2020, the county's manufacturers above a designated size – those with annal revenue of 20 million yuan ($3.1 million) – achieved a combined output worth 24.2 billion yuan, with industrial added value worth 5.59 billion yuan.
By 2025, the number of industrial enterprises above a designated size is projected to reach 220, with total industrial output value exceeding 60 billion yuan.
