A sunflower field in Qingjiang and Xinglong villages in Jiuchang sub-district, Xiuwen county, opened to tourists on July 3.

Xiuwen county is located in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

At present, the sunflowers planted in the sunflower base have all blossomed.

The sunflower base has a blooming period of about one month. This year, the blooming period is expected to last until the end of July.

The core area of the sunflower base is a hill called Yandengpo. Standing at the top of the slope, visitors can enjoy an unobstructed view of the surrounding sunflower field.

The base also has barbecue facilities, catering services, entertainment facilities and other services, making it a good place to unwind and relax.

Qingjiang and Xinglong villages jointly planned to develop a sunflower base at the beginning of this year to develop the collective economy and increase the incomes of local people. Scottish Pasture, an eco-agricultural sightseeing park in Xiuwen, provided the land free of charge.

The scenic area charges each tourist 10 yuan ($1.55) to enter the base, and the parking fee is 10 yuan per car per visit. The ticket fee is exempted from any meals purchased at the base.
