Xiuwen adds a national modern agricultural industrial park

Xiuwen modern agricultural industrial park in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently declared a national-level park by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Finance.

Xiuwen is the largest kiwi fruit planting, preservation and processing base in the province. The kiwi fruit planting area in the county stands at 167,000 mu (11,133.33 hectares), ranking third in the country and first in the province.

In July 2018, Xiuwen was approved to establish a national modern agricultural industrial park based around its kiwi fruit industry.

With a total area of 473,000 mu, the park covers 32 villages in four sub-districts and two towns in the county, providing production, processing, commerce, tourism, culture, research and development functions in the service of the kiwi fruit industry.

To date, the park has planted 115,000 mu of kiwi fruit. It has been equipped with a big data Internet of Things kiwi fruit tracing system, base water and fertilizer integration facilities, and intelligent photoelectric sorting and packaging lines.

It is now a kiwi fruit science and technology park integrating production area wholesale, product research and development, cold chain logistics, and intensive processing.
