The Guiyang Agricultural Products Logistics Park in Xiuwen county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province is proving to be a hit.
As of Oct 28, it had traded a total of 1.79 million metric tons of agricultural and associated products, with a transaction value of 11 billion yuan ($1.67 billion), since its opening on March 2019.
The park, not only provides for the tables of Guiyang's citizens, but also promotes the province's high-quality agricultural products to the country and even international markets.
It is a comprehensive and modern large-scale wholesale agricultural product market that integrates exhibitions and trading, cold chain logistics, processing and warehousing, safety traceability and support services.
Both Guiyang city and the logistics park have rolled out sales subsidies for the export of agricultural products from the province.
This has galvanized the 2,000 merchants in the park to sell more of the province's vegetables and fruits inside and outside Guizhou, raising the profile of its products.
