Xiuwen breaks ground on 11 key projects in July

Xiuwen county in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a launch ceremony in July for 11 key projects that have a total investment of 5.64 billion yuan ($821.05 million).

The projects include four social undertakings with a total investment of 5.32 billion yuan, four manufacturing projects with a total investment of 296 million yuan and two environmental protection projects with a total investment of 12 million yuan. One agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery project has received an investment totaling 10 million yuan.

The Xiuwen Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Education Industrial Park project, which was the launch ceremony site, has received a total investment of 5 billion yuan and covers a total land area of about 2,200 mu (146.67 hectares).

The park will build the affiliated hospital of Shizhen College of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a pharmaceutical big data vocational education industrial park, commercial housing and supporting facilities.

Upon completion, Xiuwen Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Education Industrial Park will expand the education and medical resources of Xiuwen county and significantly improve the level of medical and general health services.
