Kaiyang enhances resident well-being

Since the launch of its performance-view education campaign, multiple functional departments in Kaiyang county have translated theoretical learning outcomes into practical actions that benefit the people, boost commerce, and assist enterprises.

The Kaiyang market supervision bureau has taken the initiative to launch license agencies and on-site assistance services for elderly individuals and individuals with disabilities.

The bureau handled 419 complaints and reports, achieving a 100 percent resolution rate, and recovered economic losses totaling 148,900 yuan ($21,956.31) for consumers. It identified and rectified 371 safety hazards, implemented 64 practical livelihood projects, and filed and investigated 265 cases.

Thirteen service stations for delivery riders were established, covering over 200 food delivery workers, 20 of whom were selected to report back on merchant kitchen hazards and operational violations.

The Kaiyang civil affairs bureau established exclusive files for 75 left-behind children (children who remain in their home communities while one or both parents migrate for work, education, or other reasons) and children in difficult circumstances.

The Kaiyang medical insurance bureau handled 94 public medical insurance appeals through the "12345" hotline, with staff members visiting over 200 households and providing door-to-door services on more than 100 occasions.

The medical insurance bureau implemented assistance policies, providing aid to 15,224 people in need and disbursing 4.37 million yuan. It conducted regular inspections of 354 designated medical institutions within its jurisdiction, cracking down on fraudulent insurance claims and recovering 2.52 million yuan of non-compliant funds.
