Kaiyang holds 2026 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day event

Updated: 2026-06-16

The 2026 Cultural and Natural Heritage Day event, hosted by the Kaiyang culture and tourism bureau, was held at Yunkai Square on June 12.

Centered on the two themes of "Cultural relics belong to the people and serve the people" and "Intangible cultural heritage (ICH) makes life better", the event promoted the protection of cultural relics and ICH.

During the event, staff members explained laws to passersby, with a focus on introducing the achievements of the Fourth National Cultural Relics Survey in Kaiyang. Promotional brochures on cultural relics and ICH were distributed and people were taught about cultural heritage protection. These efforts helped the public better understand the cultural relics around them and enhanced awareness of cultural heritage protection.

In recent years, Kaiyang has continued to improve its ICH protection system, stepped up efforts in cultural relic preservation, and found new ways to utilize cultural resources. By developing distinctive cultural brands and regularly organizing ICH activities in communities and scenic areas, it has attracted strong public participation, allowing traditional culture to be integrated into people's daily lives.

Moving forward, the Kaiyang culture and tourism bureau will continue to advance the transformation of results from the Fourth National Cultural Relics Survey, better preserve ICH, and promote the in-depth integration of culture and tourism, contributing greater efforts to the high-quality development of Kaiyang's cultural undertakings in the new era.1782183385795090435.jpg
