The event featured competitions in tea picking and tea processing, along with chess and weiqi (a kind of traditional Chinese chess game) invitation tournaments for employees. It aimed to integrate tea culture with traditional Chinese arts, promote the spirit of craftsmanship, support rural industrial vitalization, and drive high-quality development of regional specialty agriculture.

The tea-picking competition was the first to kick off at the Guizhou Kaiyang Lanzhi Tea Development Co's tea plantation, where participants competed in speed and accuracy of tea picking within a 30-minute time limit.

The hand-made tea competition took place simultaneously. Competitors were required to process 0.5 kilograms of tea leaves into two types of green tea – flat and curled shapes – within two hours. Each step tested their adherence to standard procedures and the quality of the final product.
