Since the beginning of this year, the Kaiyang bureau of human resources and social security has actively promoted the development of employment assistance workshops, creating over 1,000 job opportunities for individuals lifted out of poverty.

The bureau has clarified processes for identifying employment assistance workshops, exit mechanisms, and responsibilities. Together with the county's rural vitalization bureau and finance bureau, it has overseen the recognition of workshops and the implementation of incentive policies.

Various types of employment assistance workshops have been established, supported by government leadership and social forces introducing. The county has developed six workshops and one employment assistance base.

Efforts have been made to encourage existing workshops to increase the recruitment of formerly impoverished workers. Support is provided for workshops affected by seasonal suspensions or insufficient hires to help them resume operations. Assistance policies, such as financial incentives, have been implemented to unlock their potential for job creation.

So far, Kaiyang has recognized four new employment assistance workshops and distributed 30,000 yuan ($4,131) in municipal-level incentive funds to employment assistance bases, encouraging workshops to hire individuals lifted out of poverty.

The county has conducted irregular on-site visits to these workshops, with regular follow-ups to monitor their development. This has enabled the county to address the challenges and difficulties faced by workshops and promote their operation.

Dynamic monitoring promptly identifies the labor needs of the workshops. Special public employment service activities are organized to create a platform that connects the supply of formerly impoverished laborers with the demand from workshops, fostering employment opportunities.

These workshops have facilitated local employment for 3,725 workers, including 66 individuals lifted out of poverty.
