Kaiyang's phosphorus chemical industry cluster rated at provincial level

The Guizhou Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the "2024 Specialty Industrial Clusters for Small and Medium Enterprises in Guizhou", with Kaiyang county's phosphorus chemical industry cluster earning a spot on the list.  

Located within the Kaiyang Economic Development Zone, the cluster spans 67.95 square kilometers and focuses on foundational phosphorus chemicals, new energy battery materials, and fine phosphorus chemicals. It boasts one national-level innovation platform, three provincial-level platforms, four municipal-level platforms, seven high-tech enterprises, three provincial technologically advanced enterprises, and two green factories.  

Benefiting from its advantages in resource, policy, transportation, and industrial foundation, the cluster has attracted leading enterprises in new energy battery materials and fine phosphorus chemicals.

A modern chemical industry system is taking shape, with key projects such as the Zhongwei 200,000-metric-ton iron phosphate facility, the Anda Technology 50,000-ton Phase I and 60,000-ton Phase II lithium iron phosphate projects, and the Shengwei 50,000-ton iron phosphate project completed and operational. Additional projects are progressing steadily.  

Kaiyang aims to establish a gradient cultivation system, increase resource allocation and policy support, and enhance the cluster's innovation, digitalization, and green governance capabilities.
