Longjiang village in Kaiyang county, Guiyang, enjoys warm winters and hot summers, making it a "natural greenhouse". Over the years, the villagers have been taking full advantage of the area's fertile soil and abundant heat to grow various fruits, paving the way for a unique "sweet economy".
"Our loquats are high-quality, delicious, and large in size, attracting many repeat customers. During harvest season, I can sell 10 to 15 kilograms daily," said Zhao Yingping, a fruit grower. The village's low elevation, ample sunlight, and warm temperatures give Longjiang's loquats their large size and sweetness.

To support farmers with professional expertise, the village has invited experts into the fields to provide guidance. Following research and field studies, they have introduced premium varieties and advanced production techniques, continually improving both yield and quality, and boosting the village's collective economy.
With loquats, pomelos, and plums, Longjiang has gradually become one of the county's "fruit baskets", where the fruit industry is thriving and villagers' lives are steadily improving. From "beautiful surroundings" to "beautiful lives", Longjiang's vision of "beautiful village, prosperous industries, and wealthy residents" is now becoming a reality, reflected in the ever-sweeter smiles of its people.
