Kaiyang facilitates traditional enterprises' transformation

As one of China's three major phosphate mining regions, Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is prospering due to its rich and high-quality phosphate resources, leading to it being known as "China's Green Phosphate Capital".

In recent years, Kaiyang has been actively exploring innovative development pathways by focusing on its phosphate resources and helping traditional phosphate chemical enterprises transform and upgrade.

To facilitate digital transformation, Kaiyang invited Huawei Cloud to conduct digital diagnostics for 12 local enterprises, guiding them to continuously explore new technologies and models.

Focusing on key areas and critical stages of industrial development, the county organized technological research efforts, achieving a series of significant scientific breakthroughs. A total of 22 phosphate chemical-related research projects have received provincial and municipal support, contributing to high-quality industrial development.

Moreover, the county supports enterprises in strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration and has cultivated and recognized a number of innovative companies, including high-tech and technologically-advanced enterprises.

In 2023, four companies were recognized as high-tech enterprises, and in 2024, three companies were recognized as technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises, with Guizhou Zhengli Mining Co being recognized as a technologically-advanced small and medium-sized enterprise.
