Guizhou Anda Technology Energy Co – a traditional phosphorus chemical company located in Kaiyang county, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – has been relying on innovation to accelerate its transformation into a new energy battery materials manufacturing company, leading to strong results.

In just three years, Anda Technology saw its output value skyrocket from 100 million yuan to 6 billion yuan ($841.80 million), and it was even listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange, making it one of the top lithium iron phosphate suppliers.

In the company's lithium iron phosphate workshop, process enhancements for a newly-improved product have just been completed, and it is now undergoing production line validation. It has been less than half a year since the last technology update.

Li Haodong, a research engineer at Anda Technology, explained that the adjustments mainly focus on electrical performance and compaction density. The higher the compaction density on the same electrode sheet, the more cathode material that can be used, which translates to a longer driving range for electric vehicles. Five years ago, the product update cycle was about two to three years, but now it is much faster.

Anda Technology has successfully achieved stable mass production of third-generation lithium iron phosphate products. Compared to the second generation, the third-generation high-voltage lithium iron phosphate battery has seen significant improvements in energy density, cycle life, charging speed, and temperature control. Meanwhile, the company's laboratory is fully pushing forward with more new material research and development projects.

Moreover, Anda Technology has established partnerships with leading downstream companies such as CATL, BYD, CALB, and more. With the steady production ramp-up of the Phase II project, the Phase III and IV projects will expand production capacity while also planning for the development of battery recycling and reuse segments based on market demand.
