Kaiyang: Improving environment as key to promoting new industrialization

Since 2023, Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been pursuing new industrialization and has achieved strong results.

Guizhou Phosphate Group's 10,000-metric-ton lithium hexafluorophosphate project, Anda Technology Energy Co's second-phase 60,000-ton lithium iron phosphate project, and the 200 MW/400 MWh centralized energy storage station have been successively completed and put into operation. Meanwhile, ongoing projects such as the Julisheng Kaiyang project, halogen-free flame retardants, and Qingyuan green pesticides are being constructed in an orderly manner.

These achievements are a testament to the county's strong commitment to improving its business environment.

"The considerate government services in Kaiyang and the transparent industrial supporting policies are the main reasons we chose to operate here," said the chairman of Guizhou Julisheng Chemical Co. The Julisheng Kaiyang project will establish Guizhou's first potassium hydroxide production line, filling a gap in the high-end fine phosphate sector in the province.

Coincidentally, the second phase of the Guizhou Anda Technology Energy Co's project, with an annual production capacity of 60,000 metric tons of lithium iron phosphate, took only nine months from construction to trial operation.

"A dedicated team tracked and coordinated the entire construction process," said the manager of Anda's administration department, who remarked that without the help and support of the county, the project could not have been completed in such a short time.

Kaiyang county will continue to attract more businesses for investment and development. It aims to further optimize and expand its phosphorus-fluorine chemical and phosphorus-based new energy battery materials industries, working to become an advanced manufacturing county led by the phosphate chemical sector.
