During the National Day holiday on Oct 1-7, Kaiyang county in Guiyang received a total of 615,000 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 18.9 percent. Overall tourism revenue reached 329 million yuan ($46.49 million), up 20 percent from the previous year. The occupancy rate of key hotels exceeded 85 percent, while the occupancy rates for guesthouses, inns, and rural homestays surpassed 80 percent.
Over the period, various attractions in Kaiyang launched a wide range of tourism products and cultural benefits to provide visitors with the best experience possible.
The Baima Valley Hot Spring hosted a beer-drinking challenge and a Hanfu garden event, attracting many enthusiastic young visitors. The Shili Hualang scenic area organized intangible cultural heritage experiences in the form of wax dyeing and embroidery, further enriching the cultural experience and allowing visitors to appreciate the charm and uniqueness of traditional craftsmanship. Additionally, the giant swing at the Hou'er Sinkhole provided countless thrills for visitors.
Furthermore, a variety of vibrant cultural and tourism activities, such as country music concerts, village dance parties, and bonfire gatherings, provided an exciting time for all.
