In 2024, Kaiyang county in Guiyang took on 49 livelihood improvement projects as part of the city and county's "10 Practical Matters" initiative, hoping to increase residents' sense of happiness. Eleven of the projects were at the city level , while 38 were at the county level (including two overlapping projects).
This September, teachers and students embarked on a fresh academic journey in the county's Longshui Township Central Primary School, where brand-new teaching buildings and bright, spacious classrooms grace the campus. The new infrastructure was part of the school's renovation and expansion project and is an example of the county's progress in implementing its "10 Practical Matters" initiative.
By the end of July, three city-level projects were completed ahead of schedule: the construction and renovation of one primary and middle school, extended hours and reduced fees at three public sports facilities in the county seat, and accessibility renovations on 50 households of severely disabled individuals.
The remaining eight city-level projects are progressing according to plan. Meanwhile, 15 county-level tasks, including the renovation of the Donghu Park corridor and railings, enhanced rural waste management, and the establishment of a convenience center for agricultural and related products in Longgang town, have met their annual goals. Other projects are advancing efficiently.
Looking ahead, Kaiyang is committed to accelerating its livelihood projects, ensuring that its residents are able to reap the benefits of development and lead happier lives.
