In the hundred-mu (6.67 hectares) yellow peach orchard in Yushang village, Kaiyang county, Guiyang, peaches hang heavily on the branches, filling the air with a rich and irresistible fragrance.

Yushang village has focused on developing a unique agricultural product, capitalizing on its abundant land resources, fertile soil and favorable climate to vigorously promote the cultivation of specialty crops.

"I leased 6 mu of my land to the company for yellow peach cultivation, so I receive an annual rental fee. Additionally, my husband and I work at the orchard, earning a monthly income," said a local villager surnamed Li.

The yellow peaches grown at the orchard are fragrant, sweet, and juicy, making them highly popular among consumers. After being harvested, the peaches are sorted, packaged, and sold through both online and physical channels.

In recent years, Yushang village has been working to attract leading enterprises and large-scale growers to drive the cultivation of premium fruits and seasonal vegetables. The village also hires local residents to participate in planting, management, harvesting and transportation, providing them with jobs at their doorstep.

Moreover, the village is exploring an "agriculture + tourism" model to integrate modern leisure agriculture with rural tourism, further diversifying the local rural economy.
